My background is in counselling, alternative medicine and lifestyle coaching. I have spent over 8 years studying, not only counselling but various personal development models. My own personal journey is one filled with struggles and pain. Overcoming huge obstacles in my life, has given me a genuine passion to work with people in emotional pain, and a unique empathy that can not be learned from a text book. I am in my own words Q.B.E (qualified by experience). Suffering in life is inevitable for all of us, however how we approach this suffering can be the making or the breaking of us. In my life I have learnt that “It’s not what happens to me, but my response to it that matters”.

I’m primarily trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, this is a style of counselling that helps to address unhelpful thinking patterns in a timely manner. Additionally I have experience with Neuro Linguistic programming, EFT (Emotional Freedom technique) and Solution focused therapy. What I have learned from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is what we tell ourselves  (self talk in our mind) directly influences how we feel.  In other words, by identifying what we say to ourselves, becoming conscious of these thoughts and retraining our minds with truth cards, we can alter our thinking, therefore changing how we feel.

After years of counselling, I am putting my energy into creating psychological resource packs for the average person with everyday issues including anxiety. I’m real and down to earth and truly care about helping as many individuals as I can to lead happier and more peaceful lives.
